pak n paar klein tamaties bo-op en so 2 stingeltjies seldery
stel op High vir 2h en maak dan jou sousie dikker met net bietjie Maziena
[as jy wil] =jy kan ook lekker vleisaftreksel gebruik in die plek van die water]

Chicken Curry

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons curry powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1.5-2 pounds chicken thighs, or breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces.
2 cups chopped peeled sweet potatoes.
2 cups baby carrots.
2 cup coarsely chopped mango.  Or 2 cans of chopped mango.
1 cup chopped onion.
1 zucchini chopped, about one cup.
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 chicken bouillon, one per bag.
.5 cup raisins (for garnish)
.5 cup peanuts or cashews (for garnish)
Divide everything into two, one gallon freezer bags, shake it up, seal, label and put in the freeze.
To cook, take out of freezer and set on counter for about 30 minutes, then dump contents of bag into slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours.

6-8 Aartappels in kwarte gesny en gepr-cook
Handvol klein kersie tamaties
1 blikkie tamatiepasta
Olie
2e lekker brand kerriepoeier[of meer]
1t borrie
1t paprika
1t rooipeper of chilli poeier
1t suiker
2e Blatjang
Stap 1..Braai uie wortels klein tamaties seldery knoffel en gemmer, net tot deurskynend. Braai jou kerrie speserye in n ander pan tot geurig..saam met jou tamatiepasta en olie!!
Voeg jou Kerrie en speserye by!!!en braai n paar min.
Voeg jou vleis wat ook alreeds klaar verbruin is by en jou pre-cooked aartappel stukke ..voeg so n koppie of twee water[of aftreksel] by en kook rustg tot sag!!Heerlik !!Helena 5/2/11

Beef curry

A simple curry beef steak recipe that is rich in flavour. The meat is cooked slowly over time with a mixture of aromatic spices and curry.
900 g beef stewing steak , cut into 4 cm
2 medium onions cut into large cubes
3 tbsp / 50 ml flour
1 ½ tsp / 7 ml salt
½ tsp / 2ml pepper
¼ tsp / 1 ml garlic powder
1 ½ tsp / 7 ml curry powder
15 oz / 425 ml tomato sauce 2 tbsp /
10 ml ketchup manis
2 tsp / 10 ml beef stock powder
½ tsp / 2ml sugar
Combine the first 7 ingredients in a 3. 5 Litre slow cooker. Stir well making sure all meat is coated in flour. Stir the remaining 4 ingredients in bowl. Pour over the top. Cover and cool on Low for 8 -10 hours or on High for 4 – 5 hours.Makes 6 cups

Saucy meatballs

Saucy meatballs cooked in a rich ketchup mustard wine sauce slow cooker style. Let the ingredients simmer and all is ready by the time you come home from work.
Ingredients:
1 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2/3 cup red or white wine
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup milk
1 cup soft bread crumbs
450 g lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon seasoned pepper
3 tablespoons minced parsley
2 tablespoons grated onion
½ teaspoon extra Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Method: Put ketchup, mustard, ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and wine into an electric cooker. Mix.Cover and cook on Low while preparing meatballs. Mix eggs, milk, and bread crumbs in a bowl. Add meat, salt, seasoned pepper, parsley, onion, and remaining Worcestershire sauce, mix lightly. Shape into small balls.Heat butter in a skillet, add meatballs and brown on all sides. Add browned meatballs to sauce in cooker, mix.Cover and cook on Low 4-6 hours.About 6 servings.

PRUTPOT - KERRIE EN RYS

Braai uie tot sag en goudbruin in pannetjie op stoof.
Roer daarby 1-2 t kerrie, 1t.borrie, 1t. gemengde vleisspeserye, sout en peper, 1k. appelkooskonfyt en 1k. sultanas.
Plaas vleis (beeskook, skenkels, skaaprib, maalvleis) onder in pot (of bo-oor rys en water in pot).
 Bedek vleis met ‘n lagie aartappels en 1k. gevriesde gemengde groente.
Skep nou uie en spesery-mengsel bo-oor.
Sit pot se deksel op, stel op outomaties of medium hoog en gaan werk!

BEEF TORTELLINI STEW

1 lb. hamburger, scrambled(wat ons ken as maalvleis)
1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can French onion soup
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme
1 (16 oz.) bag frozen mixed vegetables
1 (9 oz.) pkg. fresh cheese tortellini
After cooking beef, drain grease. Add beef to all other ingredients in large pot or crock pot. Add 2 to 4 cups water as needed. Cook on stove 10 to 15 minutes. Cook in crock pot on low 6 to 8 hours.*cooks.*
