OSTRICH EGGS

OSTRICH EGG

 Ingredients:
¾ to 1 cup raw ostrich egg, whisked well
2 tablespoons regular or lite coconut milk, nut milk, goat or cow’s milk, or heavy cream
¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon dried parsley or 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper or ground chipotle
dash finely ground unrefined sea salt, optional
1 to 2 teaspoons bacon fat, ghee, clarified butter, palm oil or palm shortening

1. Shake or mix the jar of raw ostrich egg, then pour out what you need for your meal figuring 1/4 cup of ostrich egg = roughly 1 chicken egg. Add the milk or cream, spices, herbs, and optional sea salt. Whisk or blend briefly to combine.

Volstruis roereier

Een volstruiseier is normaalweg genoeg vir 10 tot 12 persone. Die volstruiseier moet goed geklits word.
Voeg ¾ koppie melk by vir elke koppie eier. Voeg sout na smaak by.
Smelt ’n bietjie botter in ’n pan oor lae hitte. Gooi die geklitste eier by en roer aanhoudend tot dit gestol is.
Onthou dat die pan nie te warm moet wees nie
