French toast stuffed with sweetened cream cheese
http://lekkerreseptevirdiejongergeslag.blogspot.com/2013/07/french-toast.html

16 slices white bread (remove all crust)
8oz softened cream cheese
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3/4 cup melted butter
Preheat oven to 350. Using a rolling pin or glass cup, flatten each slice of bread. In a mixer, blend the cream cheese and powdered sugar together. Combine sugar and cinnamon in bowl. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of sweetened cream cheese on each slice and roll up. Dip rolled bread in melted butter and then roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place on a foil lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Top with syrup and whipped cream.
Next time I make them I thought about adding strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese before rolling it up. Enjoy!!

http://lekkerreseptevirdiejongergeslag.blogspot.com/2013/07/french-toast.html

Serves 3
Ingredients:
•3 large eggs

•1/2 cup milk [120 ml]
•2 tablespoons butter, melted [30 grams]
•1 teaspoon vanilla extract [5 ml]
•Dash of salt
•6 slices of bread
Directions:
1. In a shallow container such as a pie plate, whisk together all ingredients except bread.
2. Soak a slice of bread in the mixture, flipping the slice to make sure the bread thoroughly absorbs the liquid.
3. Waffle until golden brown. This should take about five minutes, though waffling time will vary depending on your waffle iron and heat setting.
I ate mine with a pat of butter and maple syrup.
This recipe should make it onto a lot of weekend breakfast tables. Assuming you can wait that long.
