PORK WITH PEARS IN SLOW COOKER
4- 1/2 inch thick, boneless pork loin chops
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp.salt
1 tsp. butter
1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c. apple juice, no sugar added
1/2 c. onion, sliced
2 firm, ripe pears, skin off, sliced
Directions
Melt butter in a saute pan over medium heat until it melts.
Season both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper.
Add pork to saute pan and cook on each side until browned.
Pour apple juice and applesauce into the crock pot.
Place sliced onion over applesauce.
Add pork chops on top of onions.
Add sliced pears on top of the pork chops.

PEAR AND PORK CHOPS IN SLOW-COOKER
A pork chop recipe that contains pears cooked in brown sugar with lemon juice and a touch of ginger.
Ingredients:
6 pork loin chops, cut 1 inch thick
½ tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
6 thin lemon slices
12 thin onion slices
3 pears, halved and cured
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup water
2 tbs soy sauce
¼ tsp ginger
Method:
Brown pork chops on both sides in a skillet. Drain off excess fat. Put browned chops into a slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt pepper. Add lemon and onion slices. Put pear halves on top. Com bine brown sugar, lemon juice, water, soy sauce and ginger; pour over all.
Cover and cook on Low 6-8 hours.
