POTATO SOUP:

Ingredients:
6 Potatoes
1 Onion
4cups water( 1 litre )
1 tablespoon butter or magarine( 15 ml)
½ tablespoon flour(7,5 ml)
1 cup milk(250ml)
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons chopped parsley(30 ml)
2 tablespoons finely grated cheese(30 ml)

Method:
1. Wash and peel potaoes and slice
2. Add finely chopped onions
3. Add cold water and bring to boiling point slowly. Cook for 1 to 1 ½ hours or until the vegetables are quite soft. Season with salt and pepper. LW DIE AARTAPPELS MOET LEKKER SAG WEES.
4. Mash with a fork(OF AARTAPPELDRUKKER) and thicken with flour, butter and milk. HIER KAN JY BOTTER SMELT EN MENG MET MEEL EN DAN MELK BYVOEG . Stir constantly, adding more water or milk, if necessary. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, on med/low heat, stirring occasionally.
5. Add the parsley
6. Sprinkle the cheese in the bottom of a warmed soup tureen, pour boiling hot soup into it and serve at once.

PS Ek voeg botter en melk net so by en ek gebruik gewoontlik bietjie mazeina ipv meel en maak dit aan met n bietjie van die melk.
