WHITE CHOCOLATE SILK PIE

WHITE CHOCOLATE SILK PIE


 enough Oreo's to cover base,sides & to layer around sides of dish;
½ C finely chopped pecans;
3 Tbsp melted butter;
250g bars white chocolate, coarsely chopped;
1 ¾ C milk;
2 C thawed frozen whipped cream;
1 box vanilla instant pudding mix.

Crush enough cookies & mix with pecans & butter. Press into a 22cm pie dish, base & up the sides of dish. Refrigerate for 1hr. Heat chocolate & 1/2C milk in a saucepan over low heat until chocolate is melted & mixture is smooth, stirring often. Remove from heat & let cool to room temperature. Combine pudding mix & remaining milk in a bowl & stir. Stir in the chocolate mixture. Fold in 1C whipped topping. Spoon mixture into crust. Refrigerate for 3hrs or until filling is set. Top pie with remaining whipped topping & shaved chocolate. Strawberries - optional.
